Romantic June Reception

This wedding from last June was a simple but very romantic soiree! The Italian bistro lights set the tone and the flowers were some of the prettiest we've ever seen! That bouquet by Renee Landry --- STUNNING! They also used our silver chargers as a creative addition to their centerpieces instead of for place settings - they made the perfect addition to the groupings of romantic blooms!

Morning + Wedding = Brunch!

This was one of my favorite weddings of last year - the ceremony was one of the most heartfelt I've ever witnessed as two families became one and I don't think there was a single dry eye at The Currituck Club! Unfortunately due to weather conditions we had to move this intimate ceremony & breakfast celebration to the veranda as Plan B but what a beautiful celebration it still was! After a sweet ceremony & a few pictures, the guests dined on brunch fare & then of course concluded with cake! Don't we all want to eat cake for breakfast?! SoulONE kept the acoustic tunes going throughout and it truly was a memorable morning!

Rain Can't Stop this OBX Wedding!

I have to admit - this wedding day was a nail biter! The weather turned more ominous as the day progressed and by 1 hour before ceremony time we were in a full blown downpour! We waited it out as long as possible and in this situation we ask the bride what's the most important thing to her - keep the timeline on track and go to Plan B or do whatever it takes to have a soundfront ceremony! In this case our beautiful bride decided to go for the ceremony - umbrellas and all! It was such a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony and wouldn't you know it - just after they said I Do the rain stopped and cleared for their pictures! What a beautiful wedding it turned out to be! Wishing this couple all the luck & love that a rainy wedding day brings! Small World, Big Wedding

This wedding was a perfect example of the saying "what a small world!" Turns out, the bride & groom graduated the same year as I did from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and I knew a handful of their guests from school! We didn't find this out until their rehearsal day when I saw all the gold and purple decor coming in and put it all together! Of course I loved the use of our school colors for this wedding decor and in true JMU style everyone had a great time at the wedding :) This wedding is also a great example of one that was over 100 guests and opted for the "extension tent" next to the veranda - it's perfect for guest counts over 100 and less than 200! Congrats to Katie & Matt!
