Rehearsal Dinners in the Rees Jones Lounge

We love hosting rehearsal dinners just as much as weddings! We host them both indoor and outdoor but our indoor Rees Jones Lounge is pretty much the perfect spot for a rehearsal dinner! It's a private dining room on the second floor so our guests get it all to themselves - there's even a private balcony! Check out this lovely rehearsal dinner from May that used burlap and simple baby's breath arrangements to make the dinner even more special!

And HUGE news for the Rees Jones Lounge for 2016 - we now have GOLD CHIAVARI CHAIRS for all events! These are included complimentary in the Rees Jones Lounge and an optional upgrade if used in the veranda!

We loved this simple, clean look for one of our May weddings! The bride chose to use our silver charger plates as part of her centerpieces and how cute are the table numbers?! The bistro lights were perfect for this one - they created that al fresco dining atmosphere, great for a spring wedding!

Final 2014 #TBT & a Stunning Sunset

There must be something about our final wedding of the year because each time we're blessed with the most incredible sunset and this one didn't fail to impress! Our FINAL #TBT wedding in the 2014 series is going out with a bang with these beautiful ceremony photos. We loved the use of the wine barrels and rustic elements, but the show stopper was the custom made arch that the groom made for the bride. He even carved their initials in it! The sun started going down during the ceremony and it was truly a beautiful show for these wedding guests!

#TBT - Lights to Impress

Today's #TBT features a beautiful October wedding from last year that wowed with one of my two favorite wedding oomph things: LIGHTING! (For curious minds, the other favorite is linen!) The pictures below don't even do it justice but look at what a huge impact the bistro lighting outside on the patio and the up lighting in the veranda made as the sun set throughout the evening! #TBT - A Decade of Love

We were so blessed last year to be a part of this beautiful wedding weekend in today's #TBT series! We hosted both the rehearsal dinner & wedding reception for this incredible couple and couldn't have had a better time! All the little details, the sequin linen, the chandelier and all the decor were gorgeous but what really made this wedding so amazing to be a part of was this couple's love story! All the tables were numbered with years that the couple has dated and featured a picture of the couple from that year and y'all - there were 10 tables! These high school sweethearts have been together for a decade and the beach in Corolla holds a special place in their love story because it's where they met! The love celebrated this weekend last year was just so great! #TBT Preppy Nautical Wedding

We get a lot of questions about using tents here at The Currituck Club and this #TBT wedding is a perfect one to show off how well they work! A 20 foot wide tent fits perfectly between the entrance side of the veranda and the flower bed so by putting a tent there you can basically just expand the size of the veranda to accommodate up to 10 additional tables, depending on the tent size! For this wedding we had about 100 guests sitting under the veranda itself and then 60 more under the tent. You can see in the 5th picture that you can't even really see where the veranda ends and the tent begins! This was such a beautiful, wedding all around and to give you even more inspiration, check out the photographer's post of this wedding!

#TBT Bright, Crisp Colors

This #TBT is from last September but you could've fooled us - the fresh colors & decor look like a perfect Spring day! The bright pops of blue, green & yellow really stand out in the veranda and against the crisp white linen and ceiling drapery! How cool are the grass centerpieces and the garland on the sweetheart table done by Bells & Whistles? Loved this look!

#TBT Rain, Rain Go Away!

This #TBT wedding embodies the old saying "when it rains, it pours" but in the most literal sense! Not only did it rain during this couple's wedding reception, it was a steady downpour! We were so fortunate that the rain waited to begin AFTER the ceremony and all of the pictures were taken so it was just dinner service that took the brunt of the rain. This wedding proves though that rain on your wedding day doesn't mean your wedding is ruined - look how beautiful everything was with or without the rain! And the guests didn't care - everyone had a blast! Below are a few of my iPhone photos during setup - I'm still obsessed with the gunmetal sequin linens and the color combo of the grey & yellow together! #TBT Nautical Nuptials

I'm a sucker for all things Nautical and Navy Blue so this wedding had me in wedding heaven! The navy linens with the silver mercury glass vases & silver chargers made such an impact and offered a clean, nautical look. I loved the little touches -  the custom table numbers with the anchors, the navy & white striped ribbon on the napkins & the tags on the candy bar - but I especially LOVED the bistro lights everywhere, the chandelier & the rustic boat "Photo Booth" Prop! Enjoy this classic nautical style #TBT wedding from last September!
