A Golden Affair - Corolla Wedding

From the light to the decor to the love, this November wedding was GOLDEN! This wedding was the last of the 2016 season at The Currituck Club and they surely went out with a bang. Gold chiavari chairs, ivory lace linens, gold chargers and gorgeous white blooms everywhere including hanging from the ceiling are just a few of the details that made this wedding! Sugar Snap Events killed it with the flower chandelier!

PS - anyone who knows me knows I love fur and this bride rocked it!

Congratulations Ellie and Michael!
We will always remember your special day here at The Currituck Club!

Happy Planning!
Liz

Perfect Paper Products

Printables are something that can really take your reception to another level, and Amanda and Austin's wedding is a great example of that! They had special menus, table numbers, and escort cards printed that all coordinated and really added a special touch. You can have items like this printed at your local print shop, order them online though great websites like Wedding Paper Divas, or make them yourself if you are handy with publisher and other software! I also loved the cheery coral and green of this wedding and the fun cake topper!

Happy Planning!

What Happens if it Rains?

The million dollar question - and a very important one to ask! We're very fortunate that at The Currituck Club we do have a fantastic Plan B for bad weather wedding days! This plan was kicked into action last Saturday as an early Nor'easter hit the Outer Banks. We moved Chantal and Todd's lighthouse ceremony to our veranda, cocktail hour to our foyer, and the reception to our indoor room. You know what? It was perfect! If you hadn't been in on the planning, you would not have known we changed the plans at all. It was an intimate evening wedding with close family and friends who danced all night long. Best advice for this kind of thing? Go with the flow. Weather is the one thing that we can't control, so instead of stressing about what should have been, remember what the day is all about - YOU GETTING MARRIED - and enjoy it! Pictures can happen the next day :)

Happy Planning!
Ashley
